BooksReadingSeino's Teachings
Part1. Being rich isn't luck, it's attitude
- Even at the same starting line, how you spend your time creates a gap 10 years later.
- Desire and acknowledge money honestly
- Focus on the variables you can control (attitude, time, skill) so you are ready to catch luck when it comes.
Part2. Get out of the salary trap
- You can't become rich by selling your time and getting paid.
- You can become independent later if you approach the company with the attitude of making the work your own and treating the company as if it were your own business.
- The compounding effect of expertise, pursue to the end what others don’t do because they’re too lazy to do it. The rewards for the top 1% are on average tens of times higher. (10,000 hour rule)
Part3. Solving problems comes with money
- Whose inconvenience can I relieve?
- The more difficult the problem is that others cannot or will not solve, the greater the reward.
Part 4. Those who look down on pennies will not become rich.
- Let’s save up the principal and start investing.
- Make efforts to increase your income in parallel
- Investment without seed money is like a house on sand.
Part 5. He who studies until he dies wins.
- One book contains the wisdom accumulated throughout the author's life and costs 10,000 to 20,000 won. Rather than reading extensively, it is more important to read one book and put it into practice.
- If you don't know money, sell books on economics and finance, and if you don't know how to deal with people, sell books on psychology and negotiation.
- Your bank account balance is ultimately a shadow of the knowledge in your head.
Part 6. Don’t compare and don’t make excuses.
- Let's focus on what I can change. People with a strong internal control tendency have high achievement levels.
- Lost money can be earned again, but lost time cannot be regained.
- Don't waste your energy on what you can't change, put everything into what you can change.
- Wealth is ultimately the result of small daily choices.
? TOP 5 KEY INSIGHTS
- What separates the rich from the poor is not luck, but attitude and time usage. Defining the rich as a product of luck and injustice is nothing more than a psychological alibi that justifies their poverty. You need to focus on controllable variables (attitude, skills, time).
- Money doesn't chase, it follows - when you solve other people's problems, money follows like a shadow. Rather than asking “how do we make money,” we should ask “for whom and what inconveniences will we eliminate?” If you solve big problems, big money comes.
- Work is not a final destination, but a station where you build your skills with other people's money. People who work only for their salary cannot escape the burden of selling their time for the rest of their lives. You need to build a second engine (skills/side hustle) while working.
- Investment without seed money is like a house on sand. The rate of return game is only meaningful if there is principal. Instead of conspicuous consumption, focus on consumption (learning) that becomes an asset, and secure time for compound interest while you are young.
- Comparison and excuses are the mental roots of poverty. Action begins only when you place responsibility on yourself. Don't waste your energy on what you can't change, put everything into what you can change.
