I think you learn a lot about a person through their language habits and your image changes a lot. From then on, I think I started to think more and more about 'words'.

I too have made mistakes when speaking, and I think I've thought a lot about how I can improve my ability to speak well for the sake of others. 



This book contains more comprehensive content than language habits, and includes a wide range of content, from thoughts and perspectives on the origin of words to attitudes toward life. As I read it, it feels like there are two authors, and they seem to have divided the parts they wanted to talk about on the topic of language design. So, I thought that I was able to include broader content and satisfy many readers.

It is a type of cross-sectional study in which you dig deep but also dig sideways to solve problems that cannot be solved with your own expertise by combining them with other expertise.

While reading this part, I thought that it was an area where you could have the same concerns no matter what you study. When I first started studying development, I had a lot of thoughts about needing to know multiple languages ​​and wanting to list multiple skills. In the meantime, I think I was worried about what to do since I need to study the main skills more deeply.

Nevertheless, the important thing is to ‘just do it.’ Once you do it, it seems like you gain depth and breadth. If you study Java diligently, you will see parts that can be applied to other languages ​​as well as differences from other languages. I also have a long way to go, but I enjoy studying development.

There are quotes like this here and there in this book, and there were a lot of quotes that I wanted to remember and remind me of. Among them, I remembered Francis Bacon's words, so I wrote them down. It resonated with me even more because these days, I'm thinking about not only the cool name, but the importance of creating opportunities for yourself. 

It seems that in order to get more opportunities, you have to move, be interested, and work hard. If you don't move and just think, you can become more depressed and immersed in negative thoughts. Be wise!

As futurist Nicholas Carr says in <생각하지 않는 사람들>, “Google may be a company that makes a living out of distraction.”

The idea that Google is a company that makes a business of distraction was refreshing. If you look at Naver in particular, the main page is really hectic, even on one page, and everything I click on is accumulated in data and used as data to identify the person or the user's level of interest. In other words, it is a company that provides a lot of information and makes money through more information.

This was a part that made me think about advertising revenue, which is a big source of income for Google. 

Finally, after reading the book, I think about what the core message of this book means to me and think about how to apply it to change my life. Rather than reading it and being moved by it, you finish it

I must always consider application.

This book contains perspectives on language and various stories, but in my standards, the core message is 'So the level of the language you use is the key to your life. It is the level, and the utterance determines the personality. If you want to improve your quality of life, you can improve the quality of the language you use.' It seems to be.



Even if it is not a big problem in the company, we see cases where unnecessary emotional fights occur due to the wrong choice of language in the process of communication. Focus on the solution, do not put too much personal emotion into your language, and make it a base to speak with consideration.
