When I first decided to become a developer, the book that was recommended to me was called Happy Programming. I think running a reading club these days is helpful. I think I came across this great book while trying to make time to read.
At first, I thought this book would feel like an essay, but surprisingly, it contained content that provided basic knowledge of the major. The concepts of algorithm structure and complexity were easy to understand, so I felt like I was studying while reading.
In fact, when working on a project or learning a new technology, it seems like we momentarily forget what kind of mindset we should have when working on development, but I think it can be a guide for beginner developers.
The most memorable part was the chapter “Cold-Blooded Poisonous Demon of the Country of the North Wind”. I thought it was a random martial arts story in an IT book, but through this short story, the author once again mentioned the importance of internal and external skills. To quote part of the book,
A person who emphasizes only one side of internal and external power cannot withstand the cold-blooded poisonous demon's heartless methods.
This is because in order to create a high-quality program, balanced learning is necessary without any deficiency in either aspect.
While Googling the bug that occurred today, I was embarrassed to remember how anxious I was to get things back to normal. Rather than just fixing bugs, I need to become a developer who improves by studying actual technology at least a little bit every day.
