0. Why an extension?

I wanted to make it for a long time, but strangely enough, the timer I wanted wasn't developed as an extension program, so I wanted to make it. I thought about spending money to buy a timer, but I thought it was a waste of money to buy a timer with visual elements added. I don't know why there is an app but no extension. I think it's probably because it doesn't make any money.

Because the intention of project development is not money anyway! The goal is to create a function that I need when I need a timer checker.

1. Development environment

Since I do not specialize in learning front-end languages ​​or programs, my goal is to create a project that connects to the back-end. So, I used JS, CSS, and HTML based on Springboot gradle and Java in Intellij. I wanted to try using other languages ​​or frameworks because I was greedy, but my current goal was to develop as quickly as possible, so I used a familiar development environment.

2. Storyboard and features

The function was created based on the time timer that Googlers use. Specific features and code will be written in later posts while making it. The storyboard was created with Adobe XD and is as follows. First of all, TimeTimer version 1 did not add separate members or the function to cumulatively view one's own records, and will mainly be distributed to Chrome and Whale, respectively, with simple records and timer functions.

3. Logo

The logo was also created using Adobe The default color was red rose color, and the project name was also changed to RedTime. During the development process, I thought a lot about the logo because I thought it was the most important(?) and noticeable part when downloading the app, so I ended up deciding on the final logo. The most important thing when running it in developer mode was that the logo had to be visible. I was worried because it seemed like a too simple sign, but I decided on it because I wanted the function to be clearly visible even in the small logo on the sidebar.
